A checkpoint-by-checkpoint Time to Die walkthrough that grabs every collectible, code and challenge in a single clean run.
Time to Die is the chapter where James lands at a sun-soaked Vietnamese resort to bug three potential targets, then watches a routine surveillance job turn into a fight for his life. It blends social stealth around The Pearl with a tense infiltration and a chaotic escape through a marble quarry.
This 007 First Light Time to Die walkthrough follows the natural checkpoint order, from the opening speedboat run to the closing errand back at MI6. We move location by location so nothing slips past you: the guest ledger, the three targets, the Emperor Villa rescue and the Greenway shootout.
It also pins every collectible, key item and safe code the level hides, plus the challenges you can chain on the way, so you clear the chapter in one pass instead of replaying it to mop up. There are 15 collectibles in Time to Die, and this route touches all of them.
Time to Die walkthrough: The Pearl, the docks and Q’s gift

The chapter opens with a briefing, then hands you a speedboat in Vietnam. There is nowhere else to go, so follow the objective marker through the narrow strait between the rocky isles until The Pearl appears ahead and the title card drops.
Steer toward the pier and you dock automatically. Follow the concierge to the Loi Villa, head upstairs and turn left to your bedroom, where the package from Q waits. Opening it gives James a tracking device and a pair of recording glasses. At Moneypenny’s request, raise your Q-Lens and interact with any object flagged by a teal marker; three of them satisfies her that the glasses work.
Grab your first card before you leave:
- Banner of Acorns (Playing Card): in your villa, take the right-hand hallway to the bathroom. The card sits on the sink counter, left of the entrance.
The Guest Ledger and reception

Head downstairs and out to meet the concierge, who walks you to reception. Follow her inside, sit through the brief cutscene where James clocks a woman who catches his eye, then speak to the receptionist to scan and sign the guest ledger. Moneypenny uses it to flag three names.
On the way to the targets, sweep two more collectibles near the beach path:
- 8 of Shields (Playing Card): follow the beach signs to the Tranquility Platform (the yoga deck). The card rests on a lantern in the back-right corner, near the edge.
- 9 of Roses (Playing Card): from the platform, head down to the Tranquility Cave. Use the eavesdrop point on the man on the phone until he mentions the storage room, then use your Dart Phone and pickpocket the key. Inside, the card is on the cabinet.
The Three Targets: Theresa Lorca

Moneypenny flags three people who could be Damien’s mark: Theresa Lorca, Ramon Hernandez and Ellis White. You need to plant a bug on each. Start with Lorca.
From the reception desk, turn right and head down the stairs. Continue past an orange sign, and before you reach the wooden deck, turn right and climb the pool’s edge; Q-Lens highlights the climbable ledge. Climb left until the plants stop you, then up and left again to reach the Serenity Space and complete Pool Inspector. Approach Lorca for a cutscene where James bugs her.
- Theresa Lorca (Keynote Presentation) (Intel): once the conversation with Lorca ends, the Keynote Presentation is on the ground near the pool.
The Three Targets: Ellis White

From the Serenity Space, head down the stairs, follow the brown sign toward the Ocean View Bar, and take a left at the Tranquility Platform to a small hub guarded by two men. Speak to the one in sunglasses to learn Ellis is throwing a party at the Ocean View bar, but you need a flyer.
Two women leave the party; one sits behind you. You cannot pickpocket her without a distraction, so follow the hose at her feet to the left, find the valve and turn it on, then pickpocket the party flyer when she reacts to the water. Show it to the guard to complete Party Crasher and enter the party, where Ellis is at the bar.
- Vietnam Postcard (Postcard): at the Ocean View Bar, on a side table by the lounge chairs to the right of the main bar.
To get Ellis his drink you first need the bar’s minibar key. Follow his friend Jonty to the Velvet Lantern bar. Check the wine menu, then speak to the bartender on the left; pick the off-the-menu vintage, then any follow-up (we chose “Help me out here”) to send him off and complete Blanc the Brut.
With the bartender gone, slip into the storage room. Two employees stand to your left; crouch behind them and the large blue vat, activate the nearby hose to fix their attention on the water, then sneak left to the keys. Grab them the instant they turn, jump the lockers to your right and use the exit back to Jonty; staying unseen earns Key Master. Head behind the bar to unlock the minibar and dose Ellis’s drink with Q-Trak (he wants a Tequila Slammer).
The Three Targets: Ramon Hernandez

Leaving the Ocean View bar, cross the Tranquility Platform, take a right up the path, climb toward Serenity Space but instead descend the stairs to the Lotus Bar near the Hung Villa.
- King of Roses (Playing Card): follow the signs to the Lotus Bar, then go around the back-right side of the bar to find the card on the countertop.
The guards won’t let you into Hung Villa, so turn left toward the pier, drop into the foliage and climb the cliff in front of you. You are trespassing now, so crouch. You will auto-listen to a conversation placing Ramon on the villa’s second floor. Keep moving forward along a narrow ledge, jump to the natural rock, climb up and left across the gaps, then up into a bushy zone.
Near the two guards at the barbecue, turn around to spot a hidden bush area; head there and right to find an isolated pair of guards. Behind the second guard, a stack of stone ledges leads up to the villa roof. Climb to the bathroom where a guard is on the phone, hack the skylight and take him down to complete Bathroom Bomb. Exit and enter the door across from you to confront Ramon; with Moneypenny’s help you warn him and hand over Q-Traks. Reaching him unseen unlocks The Quiet Man.
Two collectibles sit in Ramon’s villa, laid out just like Bond’s:
- Under of Bells (Playing Card): after speaking with Ramon, follow the hallway to the bathroom. The card is on the sink.
- Tarot Deck (Legacy Item): leave that bathroom and turn left to the bedroom. The Tarot Deck is on the bedside table.
Taking a Moment and Suit Up

Head downstairs and out. With all three targets bugged, Moneypenny gives you Damien’s ETA, and James takes a moment in a chair to ask her a few questions. When Lorca’s vitals spike, do not move from beside the chair; wait it out and her vitals stabilize, completing Give Me a Minute. Then follow the marker downhill to the Emperor Villa, climb the fence just left of the locked gate, and a cutscene plays.
Now it is night and James is in a suit. Tie the bowtie through the quick-time event (make one end hang lower, then hit the timed prompts). Two collectibles are in this villa:
- Diving Watch (Memento): after the bowtie, turn around to the bedside table.
- Caliban (Caliban Profile) (Intel): from the Diving Watch, walk down the hall to the living room. The profile is on the counter, right at the corner.
Head out and uphill to the reception pool for the party. Moneypenny flags Lorca’s vitals again, so return to the Emperor Villa; the gate is locked, so enter by the parked vehicles.
Infiltrate the Emperor Villa and rescue Ellis

Climb the cliffs ahead to reach a vantage over the villa’s patrols. Panther asks you to reach the roof undetected, and vital kills are allowed, so pick up the guards’ silenced weapons and clear a path with your suppressed pistol and focus. Take the first patroller down, headshot the next, then work right, headshotting paired guards during their pauses. In the well-lit staircase area, headshot the helmet-less enemies and knock out the helmeted guard while he investigates the bodies; repeat by the grill up the stairs. Enter the door at the top for a cutscene. Reaching the roof unseen completes Panther; five silenced kills along the way also nets Silent Night.
James now watches Damien’s men take Lorca and Ellis. Since Ellis is being dragged off to be dealt with, you go for him first, and this stretch demands a no-kill approach. From the roof, head to the south end and hack the skylight that isn’t directly above two guards; the room below is dark, so you drop in unseen. If you have battery, hack the Shutter Controller in the corner first to send the guards outside.
Move out the west door past a bathtub, right into a room with a lone patroller; stay behind the couch and slip through the door once he passes. You reach two guards overlooking the central area; when one starts patrolling, hide, then swap cover left, use a planter to conceal yourself, and sneak down the stairs when none of the three enemies are looking. At the bottom, turn right into the foliage and drop into the central hatch. Open the west door toward Ellis (visible with Q-Lens) and approach the double doors.
Kick the door in to complete Phantom (reaching Ellis undetected) and Unlicensed to Kill. Because that challenge locks in on the kick, you can now down the two guards inside; the cleanest route for the no-kill run is to shoot their legs. A cutscene follows where a drunk Ellis mistakes you for a captor, so a single punch knocks him out.
Find Theresa Lorca and defeat Niko Murto

Head out through the shutters and follow the cliff back toward the resort, dropping into bushes among more hostiles. Wraith asks you to reach Lorca undetected, and Smoke Pod is the tool for it:
- Smoke the enemy on the right, then run through the smoke to the next circular platform.
- Head west, smoke the lone patroller, and take him down inside the smoke; take cover behind the central cushions.
- Wait for the enemy up the path to investigate his downed ally, then knock him out.
- Walk up his path to the Velvet Lantern bar, smoke the lone guard on the right, enter focus and shoot the fire extinguisher behind the bar, then take cover under the bar. When the others check the storage room for the blast, run up the path to the left.
A cutscene triggers, completing Wraith and the stage’s Pacifist requirement, and setting up the fight with Niko Murto. This plays like the earlier hotel bout: Niko lunges for grabs, so dodge them and use the room’s throwables to open him up. The fight has a second, shorter phase with identical tactics, so land a few more attacks and the scene resolves. What follows is left to a cutscene.
The quarry: Greenway, the mining truck and Damien

James comes to bound in a marble quarry, on a stone-cutting machine, then gets a timely rescue from Greenway, who shoots his restraints from afar. Your hands stay bound at first, but you can tag enemies with Q-Lens and call Greenway to snipe them. Several challenges live in this run:
- Two Birds, One Stone: tag a structural object like the cable tower on the ramp so Greenway’s shot kills multiple mercs at once.
- Thief: three times, tag an approaching enemy, then pop up and shoot him yourself before Greenway does (easiest on helmet-less mercs).
- Marble Madness: shoot the yellow winch/weak point on hanging marble slabs to drop them on 5 Webb mercs.
After a cutscene frees your hands, grab an Intel piece before pushing on:
- Riptide (Gun Case) (Intel): right after Greenway uncuffs Bond, before the marble tunnel, turn right. The Gun Case sits on a giant wooden spool.
Sidle across the pipe over the large pit into a chamber full of enemies. Greenway auto-tags targets here, so stay behind cover (most of it is flimsy wooden crates) and thin them out with explosive barrels, cranes and scaffolding signs. Who’s Counting? wants more kills than Greenway; he is slow, so keep moving and firing and you clear it while finishing Thief. When Greenway is pinned, push to his marker to trigger a cutscene.
Climb the mining truck; grab the enemy at the top of the ladder and throw him over the railing for You Talk Too Much. Drive into the fray, pick up Greenway at his position, and plow forward until the truck breaks down. Greenway hands you his rifle to snipe while he restarts it; at this final standoff, shoot the red barrels and light towers across the way to complete Lights Out. Once the truck restarts, take the sharp right and ride out to a cutscene.
Now on foot, descend into the quarry, jumping down cliffs and ramps; you can leap from a ramp’s base onto the MAKO building. Sidle the yellow pipe left, jump to the window sill, climb the vertical pipe, slide down, then run the stairs and walkway and vault the railing into a confrontation with Damien. He takes a compound that boosts his attributes, so stun him with throwables to open him up. In the larger arena that follows, spam the flood lights on him just as you did with the Murto twin at the gala; stun or blind, then land a melee combo. When he switches to his pistol, take cover between stuns. The finish plays out in cutscenes, and the chapter closes on a quiet beat back with Greenway.
Man of the Hour: back at MI6

The finale is a calm errand around MI6 while the story regroups. From the start, you can grab a Memento:
- Niko Murto Locket (Memento): head down to the second tier of the computer room, turn right, and find it behind Basil, who is leaning on a desk.
Speak with Moneypenny, ride to THEIA’s chamber, and share a drink with Q. Then sweep the Q-Lab collectibles:
- Trilby Hat (Legacy Item): after talking to Q, head back past the elevators into the Q-07 Wearables room at the back of Q Lab. The hat is in the changing room.
- Q-Lab Postcard (Postcard): at Q-01 Gym, left of the elevators. Climb the short lockers on the right, jump to the tall lockers, then to the ledge and into the second-story doorway. Follow the hall to the desk by the windows.
Now recover your gear. Head to Q-03 Stress Testing for your new Q-Watch. The fingerprint scanner blocks you, so lift Q’s print from his glass with the tape, then collect two more prints (the elevator call button and the robot arm in front of Stress Testing) before the scanner lets you in. Grabbing the Q-Watch triggers a lockdown.
- Rhys Beckett (Q’s Photo) (Intel): inside Stress Testing, after the lockdown, go to the cabinet left of the entrance and enter code 4397 (the plate number of the vehicle in the next room) to find Q’s Photo.
To escape, use the grey-and-yellow laser control to shoot the shutter’s lock, then run the blast test behind the car (open the door left of the console first, and shelter in the car). The blast breaks a gap into the next building. In the Gadget Room, pick your loadout at the cart (the Laser Strap, Dart Phone and Smoke Pod are a solid set), then head for the armory. You cannot enter the front without the armory door code, so cut through the shooting range, crouch under the side shutter, take the vent at the back of the hall and follow the shaft around to your service pistol on a lit cabinet. Grab it and head for the elevator. On the way up, a call from Isola offers a route to Webb; step out, head down and out the door to end the chapter and roll into the next, Wave of the Future.
