Every Intel dossier is tied to a story chapter, and none can be permanently missed once you know where to look.
Chasing down all Intel locations in 007 First Light is one of the most satisfying collectible hunts in the game, because each file fleshes out a character from Bond’s early career. There are 23 Intel pickups in total, scattered across 17 story chapters, and grabbing every one unlocks the For Your Eyes Only trophy and achievement.
The good news: nothing here is truly missable. Every Intel is tied to a specific Checkpoint, so if you skip one on your first run you can dive back in through Chapter Select and clean it up in seconds. One quirk worth knowing is that MI6 Files don’t get physically removed when you interact with them, and they take all sorts of shapes, from a computer screen to a folder to a giant wooden spoon. When in doubt, scan the room with your Q-Watch and interact with everything.
Below you’ll find all Intel locations grouped by chapter, in the order you naturally reach them.
The Heart of the Matter Intel locations
Your first two files show up in the Q-Lab during your introduction to Q and Selina Tan.
- Workshop Notice (Selina Tan): In Checkpoint 04 Q-Lab, head to the back right corner of the lab, near where two scientists are chatting by the printer, and grab the flyer on the cupboard.
- Recruit Stats (00 Recruits): Still in Checkpoint 04 Q-Lab, after you finish talking to Q and run the Q-Watch tutorial, turn to the terminal behind the desk where you first met Q, roughly in the middle of the room by the test chamber with the green Range Rover. It only becomes interactable after the conversation.
A New Home Intel locations
Both files sit inside your new agency apartment as you settle in.
- Family Photo (Lennox Monroe): In Checkpoint 01 Home, walk straight into the living room as you arrive and inspect the photo on the dresser in the right corner.
- Dress Box (Cressida Bright): Also in Checkpoint 01 Home, follow the hallway to the last door on the right into Cressida’s bedroom and open the gift box on her bed.
A Matter of Considerable Delicacy Intel locations
The Operations floor of MI6 hides these two dossiers.
- Arrowhead Report (Arrowhead): In Checkpoint 07 Operations, step out of the elevator, turn around and head the opposite way from your objective. The report is on the desk at the far end, beneath a screen showing the MI6 logo.
- 009 Profile (009): In Checkpoint 08 Master Manipulator, enter Moneypenny’s office and grab the folder on her desk before you continue the conversation.
Out of the Ashes Intel location
A single file waits during your next trip to Operations.
- Facial Composite (Niko and Tero Murto): In Checkpoint 05 Talk to Moneypenny, take the elevator up to Operations, go behind the elevator and find the file on the cabinet against the back left wall.
The Past Never Dies Intel locations
Your first two field-mission files appear in the black market and on 009’s boat.
- Delivery Box (Bawma): In Checkpoint 03 Black Market, head to the back left toward the shooting range, then find the stall selling golden statues and vases and interact with the box on the market stall.
- Photo of Greenway (John Greenway): In Checkpoint 08 Examine the Crime Scene, enter the boat’s final room and turn left as you go in. The photo is on the small side table by the bust.
Uninvited Intel locations
Three files are spread across the gala and the security office.
- Bond Family Photo (James Bond): In Checkpoint 02 Back Home, go to Bond’s room at the end of the hall and grab the photo on the nightstand to the right of the bed.
- Webb Industries Press Pack (Webb Industries): In Checkpoint 05 Get Upstairs, enter the gala and turn immediately left into the press room. Distract the guard with a Gadget such as the Laser Strap or Phone Dart, then Bluff the woman inside and pick up the flier on the table.
- Security Notice (Stephen Bright): In Checkpoint 06 Security Office, take the door at the front right of the room into the conference room. The two technicians will ignore you; the file is on the table in the center.
Knightfall Intel locations
The Webb Industries executive floors and penthouse hold three files.
- Wooden Spoon (Roger Finch): In Checkpoint 02 Executive 1st Floor, after Greenway boosts you up, cross the balcony and window, head downstairs, and kick down the left bathroom stall to grab the Office Keycard. Use it to open the objective door, then enter the office labeled “R. Finch” on the left and grab the spoon on the stand to the right.
- Employment Contract (Isola Vale): Also in Checkpoint 02 Executive 1st Floor, at the laser-blocked corridor, push the obstacle aside to reach the vent, go straight through it instead of taking the left exit, and grab the paper on the desk in Damien’s office.
- Psych Profile (Damien Webb): In Checkpoint 03 The Penthouse, look in the back right corner on the shelf beneath the statues.
Going Old School Intel location
One file waits when you rejoin Q.
- Driving Gloves (Q): In Checkpoint 04 In the Zone, meet up with Q to collect your field equipment and grab the gloves on the desk to the right, next to the shrouded car.
Time to Die Intel locations
Three files span the retreat and the pursuit of Damien.
- Keynote Presentation (Theresa Lorca): In Checkpoint 05 The Three Targets, reach Theresa Lorca and let the conversation play out. The file is on the ground in front of the pool loungers.
- Caliban Profile (Caliban): In Checkpoint 07 Suit Up, after the bowtie mini-game, head into the living room and grab the file on the table.
- Gun Case (Riptide): In Checkpoint 15 Tracking Damien, once Greenway frees you from the handcuffs, turn right and find the case on the large wooden spool.
Man of the Hour Intel location
A locked cabinet guards this one.
- Q’s Photo (Rhys Beckett): In Checkpoint 04 The Betrayal, enter Q-03 Stress Testing (use a Gadget like the Laser Strap on the fire extinguisher above the door scanner). Inside, open the locked cabinet with code 4397, which is the license plate of the car in the test chamber.
Wave of the Future Intel locations
Two files sit near the Security Office.
- M Profile (M): In Checkpoint 12 Operations Department, reach the Security Office to upgrade your ID bracelet, deal with the two guards, and grab the profile on the desk against the back wall near the vent exit.
- Webb’s Manuscript (Sir Nicholas Webb): Still in Checkpoint 12 Operations Department, after the upgrade follow Isola until you reach the rock podium with a chair and a cat statue. The manuscript is on the chair; grab it before turning the statue to advance.
For England Intel location
The final file closes out the collectible list.
- Wallet (Eve Moneypenny): In Checkpoint 10 Utility Tunnels I, a while after defeating the two snipers, reach the service tunnel and use the wall panel to switch off the fan. Slide through the fan and the wallet is straight ahead on the ledge, by the pipes, before you climb down the ladder.
